It lets you experience a perfume properly — on your skin or on a blotter — without committing to a full purchase. Whether you're building a fragrance wardrobe or simply curious about a new scent, samples are the smartest way to explore.
Are these really fragrances?
Absolutely. Every sample we offer is drawn from a genuine, full-size bottle — no reformulations, no imitations, no shortcuts. We source exclusively from licensed distributors and reputable suppliers so that what reaches you is the real deal, every single time.
Why is it labeled "Not for Cosmetic Use"?
Under EU Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009, our fragrance samples are classified as scent-testing products rather than cosmetic goods. This label is a legal compliance requirement — it doesn't affect the quality or authenticity of the fragrance inside. The scent is exactly what it should be; the label simply reflects how the product is categorised under EU law.
Why should I test a scent sample?
Fragrance is personal and samples let you test a scent across its full development from top notes to dry-down, before spending on a full bottle. You can also compare several fragrances side by side and take your time deciding. It's the most confident way to buy perfume.
When will my order ship?
We process and ship orders on the same business day or the next, Monday through Friday. We move quickly so your samples reach you with as little wait as possible.
How are delivery times and shipping fees determined?
Shipping fees and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your location and the shipping method you choose. Are the brand owners involved?
No. Arometry is a fully independent store. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any fragrance brand. Brand names are used solely to help you identify the fragrance you're looking at. All fragrances are purchased from authorised retailers — we simply make them accessible in sample sizes.
How do I use my sample?
For the best experience: spray onto a blotter strip and let it sit for a few minutes — fragrances open up as they breathe. Notice how the scent shifts from the bright top notes through the heart and into the warmer base. Keep samples away from children and pets, avoid eye contact (rinse immediately with water if it occurs), and store in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight.
Additional Information
Can I exchange or return my scent samples?
Due to the nature of our products, samples are generally non-returnable. However, in line with EU consumer law, returns are accepted within 14 days where applicable — the item must be in its original, unused condition, and return shipping is at the customer's cost. If something arrived damaged or wasn't what you ordered, get in touch and we'll make it right.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes — our gift cards are available in any amount and can be used on any order in our store. They make a great present for anyone who loves fragrance or wants to start exploring.
